Phi Phi Island
Phi Phi Island is about a 50 minute boat trip away from Phuket. The Phi Phi Islands consist of two smaller islands: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay on the Phi Phi Islands then you should be looking at Phi Phi Don or if you are interested in doing a day trip we’d suggest that you head to Phi Phi Ley, it offers some magnificent beaches like Loh Sama and Maya Bay. If you’ve seen the Hollywood film “The Beach” you will recognize the Loh Sama and Maya Bay beaches.
There are some amazing Tours you can do while at Phi Phi Island. Below are the ones that we’d suggest you check out during your time in Phi Phi:
Breakfast with the Sharks on Phi Phi Island
The Breakfast with the Sharks tour is a total highlight of one’s trip when going to Phi Phi Don. There are a few different types of tours that take place on a daily basis ranging between 400 Thai Baht per person for a simple 5 hour tour to up to 3000 Thai Baht per person for the four hour extensive reef tour. Don’t get a fright if you see yourself being circled by up to 5 or 6 black tip sharks or leopard sharks that can get up to 2-3 meters long, and all looking for their breakfast
But don’t worry, the Black Tip reef sharks are timid and non aggressive so you won’t end up as their breakfast.
Maya Bay Camping on Phi Phi Island
Camping on Maya Bay on Phi Phi Islands gives you the chance to enjoy one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Plus, you can find yourself camping on the same beach where Leonardo Di Caprio shot the movie “The Beach” (although, even before Di Caprio made Maya Bay famous it was still a world class destination). As soon as you get to the mouth of the bay you’ll be awe struck by a sense of perfection and majesty.
Generally the Maya Bay Camping trip leaves the Lemongrass Restaurant (near the main pier at Phi Phi Don) at 4pm for its voyage to Phi Phi Ley. There is only one tour group that has the rights to do the Maya Bay Camping tours to keep the bay/beaches world class and to ensure there are never excessive numbers of tourists there at one time.
Phi Phi Island Cliff Diving

Phi Phi Island Tour
Beautiful bays, beaches, palm trees and cliffs overlooking the ocean are just some of the wonders of visiting Phi Phi Island. Now, if you are the adventurous type, looking at all the beautiful sights might not be that interesting for you… so how about some cliff jumping. Local islanders jump right from the cliffs into the sea against the gorgeous backdrop of the setting sun. If you’re keen on giving it a go yourself there are a few different heights that you can jump from. Most of the tourists will jump from the 5-8 metre levels but if you’re feeling adventurous and want to “show off” to your friends or family you could brave the 10 metre cliffs or even the 14 metre cliff to show your bravery.
One Day Snorkelling Tour at Phi Phi Island
If you’re thinking of sleeping on Phi Phi Island you must partake in the One Day Snorkelling Tour on Phi Phi Island. The tour is a snorkelling and sightseeing tour that takes you around the main snorkelling stops for the season. Depending on what season you go to Phi Phi Island (high or low season) you’ll normally be able to spend 30 minutes snorkelling around the major reefs. One of the highlights of the trip is the lunch you get at the Bamboo Islands where you get to enjoy the surroundings of the Phi Phi National Park. If you are lucky while on the snorkelling tour you may even get a chance to see a pod of dolphins passing through the archipelago islands.
No matter what you decide to do we know you’ll have an awesome time on your Phi Phi Island Tour.
