Phang Nga Bay is made up of many different little islands, two of the more famous / well known areas are Koh Pannyi and James Bond Island. As mentioned you could drive to Phang Nga Bay but a quicker and more enjoyable way to get there is via speedboat, if you make your way to the Phang Nga Bay make sure you partake in some of the below activities:

James Bond Island Tour

I think this goes without saying, if you’ve made the trip to Phuket you should definetly make time to go to James Bond Island. The James Bond movie “The Man With the Golden Gun” featuring Roger Moore was filmed there way back in 1974. If you’re not interested in the heritage of the island I’d still suggest that you take the time to kayak through the hidden lagoons and small passage ways that open up into beautiful caves that will literally take your breath away. There are some great day trips that will take you to and from James Bond Island which will include kayaking and lunch.

Speedboat tour of Phang Nga Bay and Koh Khai

If you’re interested more in seeing the gorgeous scenery of Phang Nga Bay and get away from the crowds I’d suggest you take a Speedboat tour. Speedboat tours are much more interesting then your plain old bus tours plus you get to visit James Bond Island, the small fishing village of Koh Pannyi (this will blow your mind), visit the sea caves around Tham Lod and even explore the many different mangroves at the edge of the bay.

Phang Nga Bay Ideal Cruise

Looking for something a little more relaxing then maybe cruising to the beautiful Phang Nga Bay might be your thing. Along the way you’ll get to check out James Bond Island, the Talu cave and some of the surrounding mangrove forest delta. While you’re at it you’ll get to enjoy a fantastic lunch at the Koh Pannyi fishing village that is set on stilts over the sea. This cruise will also take you to the stunning Koh Panak, Koh Hong and Lawa Island.
